Boating
Boating is a popular pastime for many Central Coast residents and there are many boating facilities available. These include public wharves, as well as boat ramps and jetties, that provide access to lakes and creeks.
With over 173 kilometres of waterway foreshores on the Central Coast it’s no wonder that boating, fishing and other waterway recreational activities are so popular by our residents, and a major drawcard for tourists.
Whilst respecting the protection of our coastal areas, we are committed to the improvement and maintenance of public wharves, jetties, boat ramps and ocean baths to provide safe and easy access to our natural waterways and increased enjoyment of these outdoor areas.

It should be noted that refuelling of commercial vessels within Brisbane Water is only permitted at Gosford Wharf (the main ferry service wharf) and at the Woy Woy Cargo Wharf in compliance with the Brisbane Water Plan of Management.
PLEASE NOTE - From Monday 2 December 2024, the Ettalong Beach Foreshore Reserve Boat Ramp, located at the end of Kourung Avenue will be closed.
