Council’s hybrid approach

We are building our Central Coast Council with trust, creativity, and diversity.

To help Council continue to build, we want our people to bring new ideas to the table to encourage creativity, innovation and a positive response to change the future. We look for talent, lean on their experience and encourage all to challenge the current ways of working. A unique opportunity exists to reshape the organisation.

We're building on what we’ve learned over the past years and taking a simple but powerful approach to how we work: “We trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams.”

We have learned that every individual and every team works differently, so we are embracing flexibility with both hybrid and remote roles.

We will continue creating amazing office experiences for everyday work and the times when we do come together. We’re also embracing a growth mindset to learn together and adjust as we go.

Locations

Council has employees located at various facilities across the Central Coast, including administration buildings, depots, waste management facilities, childcare centres, libraries, recreational facilities, and water treatment plants.

Our primary office is located on Hely Street in Wyong.

Our Water and Sewer teams are located primarily at the Nexus building in Wyong.

Our depots include Charmhaven, Erina, Long Jetty, and Woy Woy. Access to the depots (outside of the depot office buildings) requires you to wear fully enclosed shoes and a hi vis vest.

Where to go – lunch, coffee or a snack

Most of our locations across the Coast are near varied food and coffee options.

There are plenty of choices for lunch, or a good coffee near the Wyong administration building - visit Wyong Plaza for something from the supermarket; or take a walk along Hely Street and Alison Road for a range of coffee shops, bakeries and takeaway options.

Near our Erina depot, there are a variety of meal options within a short drive to Fountain Plaza, or a service station next door for snacks and drinks.

All primary office and depot buildings also have vending machines available.
