    We’re undertaking a project to improve the Warren Avenue lookout in Avoca Beach and are seeking community feedback to help determine key decisions regarding the future of the lookout. The viewing platform is currently unsafe and poses a potential hazard to the public.

    Central Coast Council elects new Mayor
    Central Coast Council has returned to a democratically elected Council, following four years in administration, with a new Mayor and Deputy Mayor elected at the Extraordinary Council Meeting Tuesday 8 October 2024.Central Coast Council was put into administration in October 2020 under the direction of the Minister for Local Government, as a result of a financial crisis.On 14 September 2024, Central Coast residents were once again asked to cast their votes for a new Council – with 15 new Councillors elected.Council’s new Mayor is Councillor Lawrie McKinna, with Deputy Mayor Councillor Douglas Eaton OAM.The 15 Councillors (including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor) are:Budgewoi Ward: Helen Crowley, Douglas Eaton OAM, John MoulandGosford East Ward:

    Central Coast Council election and Referendum results announced

    Feedback sought on proposed management actions for the Hawkesbury-Nepean River system
    Central Coast Council is inviting local communities to provide feedback on proposed management actions for the Hawkesbury-Nepean River System Coastal Management Program (CMP), as part of the third stage of community engagement for this program.Community members can attend information pop-up events to learn more and give input or provide feedback online until 24 November 2024. The extensive Hawkesbury-Nepean estuary system spans the Greater Sydney and Hunter-Central Coast regions, with a large proportion of the study area within the Central Coast Local Government Area (LGA).
