The Sustainable Future Festival is back in 2024 with a two-day event.

The festival kicks off with a dedicated school day on Friday 13 September, followed by a community-wide day on Saturday 14 September. Both days will be held at The Entrance Memorial Park and are free to attend.

This festival aims to educate and inspire you to live more sustainably and keep our Coast as beautiful as ever.

This year, you can expect a series of engaging workshops, demonstrations, speakers, performances and markets with a focus on innovation in waste management and resource recovery.

There will also be some very special guests taking part in this year’s festival, including renowned environmental advocate Craig Reucassel, who will share his expert insights on sustainable living, with his signature sense of humour.

Festival highlights:

  • Create your very own dot painting on a river rock.
  • Discover how to make and maintain a worm farm.
  • Engage with incredible animals from Central Coast Zoo, learning about their ecology and role in the ecosystem.
  • Join NSW Young Australian of the Year, Lottie Dalziel to transform bottle tops into fun, colourful and useful products at the Friday event.
  • Learn how to make a milk and honey bath from locally sourced ingredients.
  • Make your own play dough, using sustainable dyes, to take home.

Event details:

School day: Friday 13 September, 8.30am-2.30pm
Community day: Saturday 14 September, 9.00am-5.00pm
