Give your pet the best chance of being reunited with you if they're lost by microchipping them.

Central Coast residents can get their dog or cat microchipped for FREE at our Socares-run Animal Care Facility in Charmhaven and Erina (view event).

In addition to having your pet microchipped, you can update your pet's registration details (if needed) and access information on responsible pet ownership, educational material and products.

This initiative supports our goal of increasing the number of identified, registered and desexed dogs and cats on the Central Coast.

Why microchipping and registering your pet is important

Microchipping and registering your pet are both legally required in NSW and help to ensure your pet can be reunited with you, should they become lost. Microchipping also alleviates pressure on local Animal Care Facilities as it helps them to locate owners of lost pets or have pets rehomed.
