Council's venues working with event partners are focused on delivering remarkable experiences for fans and local community.
Niagara Park Stadium has just hosted six major events of regional and state significance that attracted over 5,000 competitors and spectators through the doors. These events not only attracted media coverage, but also benefited local tourism, hospitality and accommodation providers with many visitors travelling interstate to attend the events, staying 2-3 nights.
The highlight was the hosting of the 27th Australian Clogging Convention, which was held at the stadium over four consecutive days from 14-17 September 2023. It was the first time the event had been held in NSW since 2015 with competing dancers recognised as being some of the nations best cloggers. The stadium also hosted the 8th Annual Central Coast Crystal and Craft Festival which highlighted the versatility of the facility, demonstrating that not only is it able to accommodate high level sporting events, but also community expos and festivals.
Other major events throughout September included the 2023 BJP Physical Culture Central Coast Champion Girl tournament, NSW Table Tennis City v Country Championships, NSW CHS Sport Trampolining Trials and the International Sports Karate Association Central Coast Open.
It doesn’t get any quieter for the stadium with the summer months bringing a number of physical culture events, as well as hosting a round of the Australian Futsal Associational National League in December over two days.
