14/01/2025Love will fill the air in Wyong when Love Lanes Festival returns on Saturday 15 February, from 4-9pm. Coinciding with Valentine's Day weekend, this annual celebration of love, community, and local talent is now in its eighth year and promises to be more enchanting than ever.
Central Coast Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said the street festival will transform Wyong’s CBD into a vibrant hub of activity.
“With four vibrant lanes and five dynamic stages, Love Lanes Festival will showcase the incredible talent of local musicians, dancers and performers,” Ms Smith said.
“In addition to live performances, there will be food and market stalls, free activities for all ages and captivating laneway art.
“As an alcohol-free event, it will be a safe and enjoyable experience for the whole family so mark your calendars and join us for a night of love, fun and entertainment.”
Council Mayor Lawrie McKinna said the popular festival is the perfect occasion to come together, showcase our local businesses, explore hidden gems and celebrate the beautiful Central Coast.
“Love Lanes Festival 2025 will transform Wyong’s laneways and town park for couples, families and visitors to experience the heart and soul of Wyong,” Mr McKinna said.
“It's a chance for everyone to connect with the community, enjoy performing artists, support businesses in the Wyong town centre and create lasting memories.”
Festival highlights include:
- Live music from Milana St Clair, Ruby and The Groovy Doobies, Micra, Sesame Girl, Velvet Trip and Becca Hatch.
- Live jams, mini masterclasses, busking and more from Musicians Making a Difference.
- Performances from Lee Academy and local community groups.
- A Circus Precinct showcasing aerial circus performers from Roundabout Circus.
- A Kidz Zone offering an array of free activities.
- A Teenage Zone with a free rockclimbing wall.
- Food stalls, market stalls and community stalls.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, Council encourages attendees to plan their visit in advance. Public transport is recommended.
