Central Coast Council Water and Sewer are working with Eire Constructions to improve water and sewer infrastructure in West Gosford.

Works commenced Wednesday 11 October, running through to Saturday 14 October. Access to Racecourse Road will continue to remain open as a restricted contraflow. Access to street parking will be restricted between 6pm, Friday 13 October and 5am Saturday 14 October.

Director of Water and Sewer Jamie Loader said the project is part of the $42.5 million Housing Acceleration Fund works, supporting the revitalisation of Gosford.

“Eire Constructions will be undertaking pipe relining as well as the resurfacing of Racecourse Road.

“It is important that local residents and businesses on Racecourse Road note that no street parking will be available overnight, from 6pm Friday 13 October.

“Council crews in conjunction with Eire Constructions will take every possible step to minimise inconvenience and disruption to the community. This includes measures to minimise noise, dust and vibration during the course of the works,” Mr Loader said.

Central Coast Council Administrator Rik Hart thanked the West Gosford community for their patience during these works.

“The program of works will help prepare Gosford to meet the needs of the community and visitors over the next 30 years.

“A key part of this is having access to reliable water and sewer services,” Mr Hart said.
