Sewerage Network Upgrades – Leagues Club Field, Gosford

Published On

16/08/2016

Part of Leagues Club Field in Gosford’s city centre has been temporarily closed while Central Coast Council completes important sewerage network upgrades.

At this stage, the upgrades are expected to be completed in November 2016. However, this will depend on any unforeseen delays such as wet weather.

The works include the construction of a new, large sewage pipeline.

Unfortunately, both lanes of Baker Street – near its intersection with Georgiana Terrace – will need to be closed temporarily at some stages during the works. At these times, warning signs will be in place and motorists will need to use an alternate route such as Dane Drive.

Council has been upgrading the city centre’s sewerage network in the vicinity of Donnison Street, Baker Street and Georgiana Terrace to meet the area’s expected development and population demands.

Since 2014, over $800 million worth of development applications have been approved for Gosford’s city centre.

These upgrades will improve the reliability, performance and capacity of the local network, as well as protect the community and environment against potential sewage overflows.

Council apologises for any inconvenience to the community while these important works are carried out.
