19/05/2019Residents are encouraged to meet with their local Councillors and discuss what matters to them in their Ward, suburb or street at the Councillor Listening Posts.
From May until November, Councillors will attend sessions at Central Coast locations within all five Wards of Budgewoi, Gosford East, Gosford West, The Entrance and Wyong to meet with the community.
Mayor Jane Smith said the Councillor Listening Posts provide an opportunity for residents to meet their local Councillor, raise issues that are important to them and give feedback on Council related matters.
“These important sessions give the community a valuable opportunity to engage directly with Councillors on the day to day issues and challenges they encounter as they live, work and travel around the coast,” Mayor Smith said.
“It is also a great way for Councillors to get out in the community and hear resident concerns firsthand.
“These listening posts are proving to be an effective way to reach out to residents, providing those who even pass by with direct access to Councillors and having an opportunity to have a say in decisions that will affect them.
“We encourage anyone and everyone to come along and have a chat.”
