Last night at Council’s Ordinary Meeting held, Councillors adopted Council's submission in response to the Minister for Local Government’s Notice of Intention to issue a suspension order to Central Coast Council.

This submission outlines a chronological timeline of when and how Councillors were advised of the financial crisis, including the actions to date being taken by Council to resolve the issue. This submission provides a sound basis for the Minister to thoroughly consider.

Of significance is the continued operation of the democratically elected representative body, as this is an important way to ensure our community is represented and has a say in the process moving forward, and this should be a fundamental consideration when the Minister is making her decision.
