Applications for Central Coast Council’s second round of Community Grants and Sponsorship funding for 2019/20 are opening soon.

Businesses, community groups and individuals with ideas for events, programs and initiatives that make a difference to the community are encouraged to apply.

In 2019/20, Council has allocated $1.78 million for funding across two Community Grants and Sponsorship rounds.

Mayor Lisa Matthews said that the funding supports the community in a variety of ways.

“Council is committed to helping support and grow local initiatives and programs. The funding not only assists with implementing these ideas, but also to build and strengthen our local economy,” Mayor Matthews said.

“These projects and programs contribute to the quality of life of our region by providing opportunities for creating jobs and economic development.

“This funding offers the community an opportunity to think outside the box to bring unique projects and events that make a difference to life.

“We have previously provided funding for a range of eligible projects including community development, place activation, events, creative and social enterprises, heritage and community infrastructure.

“No idea is too big or small. All eligible applications are welcome.”

To find out more about the funding and how to apply, community members are encouraged to attend a free Community Grants and Sponsorship Programs information session.
