07/06/2016One of the Central Coast’s most popular sporting and recreational facilities, Niagara Park Stadium, is set to host several major sporting events this month.
Kicking off the premier sporting schedule is the Football NSW Futsal Schools Championships starting today until 10 June. The Championships is one of the largest school-based, single sporting events in Australia, attracting over 50 primary and secondary schools from across NSW and the ACT.
In addition to showcasing their considerable skills, the event offers players, coaches and teachers an opportunity to network and share the latest in tactics and sporting techniques across a broad audience. The Championships is also a chance for social interaction between students and gives participants a chance to meet and mingle with futsal players from other schools, and make new friends.
The competition schedule includes:
Tuesday 7 June : Primary (Kindergarten – Year 6)
Wednesday 8 June : 16 years
Thursday 9 June : Opens
Friday 10June : 14 years

Following on from the Futsal Championships, Niagara Park Stadium has been selected as the host venue for the Basketball NSW 2016 Country Tournament, commencing at 9am on Saturday 11 June.
With more than 20 of the state’s top teams competing at the tournament, it’s anticipated this event will see over 2000 people walk through the stadium doors throughout the three-day event.

Rounding out the stadium’s top-sporting-event trifecta is the Gymnastics NSW Trampolining Grand Prix Meet on Sunday 26 June.
The Meet attracts the best gymnasts in the state and is part of a series of trampolining events held around NSW.
