The Future of Industry

We are currently in the ‘Industrial revolution 4.0’ and it is affecting almost every industry worldwide. Industry 4.0 uses transformative technologies to connect the physical world with the digital world. So what does this mean?

As we move through the economic challenges from the impact of COVID-19 restrictions, it’s important for us to stay connected and focus on how we can use innovation to get us through this time and grow stronger into the future.

Central Coast Council, with support from The Fifth Element incubator accelerator, are proud to bring you the online Central Coast Innovation Breakfast Series to create a collaborative space for local businesses, industry heads and entrepreneurs to connect, engage and hear from expert speakers.

The topic for September is all about the ‘Future of Industry’. Guest speakers include:

• Michael Sharpe, National Director – Industry, Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre
• Frank Sammut, Executive Officer, Central Coast Industry Connect
• Graeme Sheekey, Head of Operations Oceania, Chamberlain

We will explore current trends, including advanced automation and robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, machine-to-machine and human-to-machine communication and what all of this means for industry on the Central Coast.
