Central Coast Council has pulled together its July school holiday program with new activities designed to take the pressure off families wondering how to keep the kids entertained.

The popular program includes free and ticketed activities right across the Coast, while Council’s newly designed school holiday webpage allows the community to filter activities by date, location and age – making it even easier to discover things to do.

What's On for our Youth
Council’s Youth Services team have developed a dynamic program full of activities across technology, professional skills development, sports and creative. The community can get hands on experience with DJ equipment, join an ‘Employ Me’ day of workshops to get ready for the workforce, take their first step to an exciting construction career by registering to receive their ‘White Card’. They can also look at developing their skate skills with ‘Bowl Groms’ or watch special performances by local singers and songwriters in the Discovered Heat 1.

What's On at Council’s Leisure Centres
Council’s Leisure Centres have lots of swimming and sporting fun these holidays to keep kids active! Council’s warm heated pools will be offering a variety of pool inflatable fun and swimming programs, plus their sport centres will have basketball clinics and jumping castle fun the kids can get involved in.

What's On at The Entrance
PJ Masks Stage Show is coming to The Entrance these school holidays! Bring the kids down to The Entrance to sing and dance with PJ Masks or join in the range of other fun free activities including Mask Making Art, slot cars, experience Virtual Reality plus the community can enjoy Kennards Machinery and Bricks4Kidz activities.

What's On across Council’s Libraries
Make the most of Council’s Library Service this school holidays with a full program of free events for all ages. Children will be encouraged to let their imagination run wild, learning methods and techniques used to paint miniature tabletop gaming models or create unique shoes, clay echidna or vintage toy crafts. Kids can be transported to Far North Queensland to explore Indigenous culture with Virtual Reality, learn basic coding skills, test out new Sphero robots or build a battery powered car. The whole family can also get involved in an afternoon of fun games and puzzles, or take a visit to Laycock St Theatre for a Possum Magic or Revolting Rhymes tour – plus so much more!

What's On at Gosford Regional Gallery
Enjoy a coffee while the kids are entertained at Gosford Regional Gallery these holidays. Create coloured ‘Pokemon Monster’ trading cards and learn how to draw Manga & Anime Characters with Matthew Lin, use recycle fabrics to create up cycle Pom Poms, discover Russian Culture by painting a series of 5 stackable wooden dolls, walk away with a collection of relief prints inspired by Japanese Woodblocks, take the Calder’s Balance Challenge, decorate a Boomerang or even create a pebbled canvas using the traditional colours of the Aboriginal Flag.

Don’t miss Winter in the Park, fifteen days of fun for families, locals and visitors. Gosford’s Kibble Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland that even the most determined hibernators will want to get out and about and enjoy the fun. There’s so much on offer including an igloo village, ice carvings, ice sculptures, cupcake classes, live entertainment, stage shows, craft activities, carnival rides plus much more.
