What’s on for the whole family

There will be plenty of opportunities for the whole family to get involved with a wide range of events, workshops and initiatives that provide memorable family experiences these school holiday.

Adults can join children of all ages in developing their creative abilities, with a chance to build wearable flower crowns, make costumes, contribute to community art projects, attend recycled art workshops, or even create their own bath bombs and natural body products at pop-up spaces in Gosford, The Entrance and Woy Woy as part of the newly launched Creative Spaces programming.

With an array of creative art, craft, and lifestyle workshops and demonstrations, the whole family can explore and support the hidden talents within the Coast’s vibrant community of local makers and creators.

For entertainment-lovers, families can support promising local singers and immerse themselves in the vocal talent of young people competing in the region’s Discovered competition, by attending in person or streaming online. Watch and listen to some local singers as they take to the stage, and make their way to the semi-finals.

What's on across our Libraries

At Council’s Libraries, kids can get involved in a range of face to face activities designed to activate young minds.

Kids will have the opportunity to work together and put their problem-solving skills to the test by unravelling compelling stories behind two exciting escape room style detective challenges. Suitable for kids aged 6-12 years, there will be clues to connect, friends to make, and personal strengths to be discovered.

Those with more of a creative interest can join Author and Illustrator Sami Bayly for an interactive online workshop on bringing the award-winning Ugly Animals to life, while creating something of their own with just pen and paper.
