18/08/2019Central Coast Council is inviting residents who have lost their fathers, grandfathers and father figures, to a special memorial service on Father’s Day eve, at Noraville Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, to remember dads that have passed on.
Mayor Jane Smith said the service is an opportunity for the community to recognise and pay tribute to the innumerable contributions of those dads they have lost.
“Father’s Day can be a day of mixed emotions for those whose fathers have passed away. Our annual event is a special way that residents can honour and pay tribute to lost loved ones and the impact they have made to our lives – the advice, memories, dad jokes, stories, encouragement and love,” Mayor Smith said
“Council’s Father’s Day memorial service, with Simplicity Funerals, is an opportunity for us all to celebrate and reflect on the wonderful memories of dads, grandpas, uncles and any other father figures that have touched our lives and have passed on.
“Please join us to celebrate and give thanks to our dads and make it a special day for everyone to remember.”
Council’s Father’s Day Service will be held on Saturday 31 August from 11am at Noraville Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, with light refreshments served after.
Those wishing to attend the service are asked to RSVP by Monday 26 August by contacting Council's Bereavement Team on 4350 5108 or email cemeteries@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au
