23/11/2017Christmas is just around the corner and Central Coast Council has planned a number of celebrations to see in the popular holiday for residents and visitors alike.
Celebrations will kick off on Friday 24 November at The Entrance with the Lighting of the Christmas Tree from 6.30-8.30pm.
Headlining the entertainment will be the popular, historical Tuggerah Lakes Showband playing all your Christmas classics on the Waterfront Plaza.
Friday will also start the 30 days of Christmas activations at The Entrance with Santa’s Magical Garden open daily from 9am-7pm. There’s even a chance to see Santa between 11am and 5pm each day and purchase photos with him.
This magical Christmas experience at The Entrance will lead up to the popular carols in Memorial Park on Christmas Eve starting at 6pm.
Council is spreading the Christmas spirit to the “Live from 5” event at Gosford’s Kibble Park on Friday 1 December from 5-8pm.
The evening will complement the popular event in the Park and includes more activities, live entertainment, the lighting of the Christmas Tree and of course Santa.
Mayor Jane Smith is encouraging the community to join in the Christmas celebrations across the Central Coast.
“Christmas is a great time to celebrate on the Central Coast and brings families, friends and the community together,” Mayor Smith said.
“We know our community loves to celebrate and that’s why we are activating our town centres to spread the Christmas spirit across the Central Coast.
“There’s so much to do at these free events, it’s great for the kids, and those young at heart.”
