If you can’t stand the heat in your kitchen this summer, why not get out to eat in one of the Central Coast’s many great restaurants.

As the festive season kicks into gear, restaurants across the Central Coast are preparing for a busy period and restauranteur and chef Alessandro Cigola of Osteria A Mano is no exception.

“The great thing for Central Coast residents is that there are so many good restaurants across the Coast now, and there is a real variety of places to go,” Alessandro said.

A proud participant in the This is the life marketing campaign promoting the Central Coast, Alessandro loves living and raising his young family in our beautiful Central Coast region.

“With my one year old son, we love going to the beach and enjoying the bushland areas in our leisure time,” Mr Cigola said.  “It is a really beautiful area, and also close to everything we need.”

“There’s a growing sophistication in food on the Central Coast. My wife and I like to try the cafes, restaurants and eateries in different areas,” he said.

Great places to nosh on the Central Coast have already become partners of the This is the life campaign, including The Sitting Duck bistro at The Springs in Peat’s Ridge with its fresh contemporary Australian cuisine; the stylish Gusto Tapas Bar & Lounge in Ettalong; and the award-winning Jasmine Greens in Umina with its strong focus on locally grown, free-range and chemical-free foods that reflect the coastal surrounds.

Alessandro urges Coasties to “get out and try Central Coast eateries” and to “band together and be very proud of this beautiful region we all call home”.

Alessandro himself was born in the small Italian town Lugagnano Val d’Arda and started training as a chef at the early age of 14 in the Italian equivalent of Australia’s TAFE system.  Read more about Alessandro’s story at thisisthecentralcoast.com.au/our-stories.
