Administrator's Message - Maintaining rates and services: Register Now - Administrator Open Office Session

Our financial recovery in on track and we want to ensure if a new Council is elected in 2022, they are in the best position to make decisions for the whole community. To help achieve this, we are examining rates beyond the next three years, and we want our community to make an informed choice about maintaining services and service standards for the future of the Central Coast.

I am proposing to make an application to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) to maintain the current level of rates for a further seven years, consistent with what we asked for earlier this year. This will allow us to maintain current service levels, continue to find more service efficiencies and pay back loans.

As part of the process, we need to understand the level of support from our community for this approach and work with our community to prioritise which services to retain, which ones to reduce and which ones to cease if the rate increase is not maintained. Further information can be found at Your Voice Our Coast.

Last week and CEO, CFO and I met with business leaders to discuss rates and service levels for the Central Coast, explaining the situation in detail and conveying our commitment to returning Central Coast Council to a stable and sustainable financial position.

I would like to invite you, and members of your group or association to book in for an Open Office session with me to share your views on this future rate proposal. See below for session dates and times.
