Last week I had the pleasure of joining Council staff to talk to the community about Woy Woy at the Let’s talk Woy Woy event at the Peninsula Leisure Centre.  

This was an opportunity for the community to have their say on the draft Woy Woy Waterfront Masterplan and find out about projects that are underway such as the Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan for Woy Woy Peninsula, and Rawson Road and Ocean Beach Road intersection upgrade.  

Staff from across many Council areas were on hand to answer questions, provide information and take on board community feedback.

I would like to extend a big thank you to all of the community members who took the time to attend and for the professional participation of staff.  I enjoyed our return to face-to-face engagement after many months of interruption due to public health restrictions.

If you would like to have a say, the Woy Woy Waterfront Masterplan, which includes the Pelican Park site, is currently open for feedback until Monday 3 July 2022.
