This week marks the commencement of Youth Week 2022! Taking place from Monday 4 to Thursday 14 April, Council has a range of exciting activities, competitions and workshops for young people aged 12 to 24 years to enjoy across the entire Central Coast. It is a celebration of young people in every state and territory across the country.

The annual Youth Week celebrations are organised by young people, for young people. It is a time for young people to share ideas, attend live events, have their voices heard, showcase their talents, celebrate their contributions to the community, take part in competitions and most importantly – have fun!

Our youth are our future, and it is important we provide an environment that is encouraging, safe, supportive and most of all – empowering! That sentiment ties in neatly with this year’s Youth Week theme of It’s up to YOU’th.

Council is committed to supporting our youth through the establishment of a Youth for Youth (Y4Y) Action Team. This team, made up of five members between the ages of 14 – 24 years, will meet regularly and work on a range of initiatives and development opportunities and more.
