Council is seeking feedback on its draft revised Social Media Policy, in particular the need for elected Councillors to have separate personal and councillor-related social media profiles.  Council appreciates the benefits of being able to engage with the community over social media channels, however it is important to ensure the professional management of all information that is published by Council to the public via social media platforms.

This is important to protect Council and Councillor reputations and manage risks that may arise due to social media use.

Community feedback is open until 1 October 2024.
