Construction works commenced early September 2024, with anticipated completion by May 2025. Demolition of the existing building will lead the works. Sports groups will be able to use other toilet facilities at the oval during construction. 

The new sports building will have significantly improved facilities and accessibility, designed with four change rooms and showers, unisex toilets, accessible toilet with change space, canteen facilities, referee room, three store rooms, with undercover BBQ and walkways, and connective pathways.
 

The new accessible sports amenities building will help will support local sports communities, encourage active and healthy lifestyles and create opportunities for important social connections.
