04/10/2023The build-up of seagrass wrack and macroalgae around the foreshores of Tuggerah Lakes is a concern to many, so as part of our process of developing a new Coastal Management Program for each of our waterways, Council is working hard on developing a new strategy for how we manage this issue. Central to this strategy is improving the health of Tuggerah Lakes and ensuring community values are incorporated in any future wrack management actions.
Your voice matters and you are important to the decision-making process.
The community is invited to pop-in to one of our drop-in sessions this week where you can learn about and provide input into our new draft Wrack Management Strategy. Our friendly and passionate team members on-site to answer any questions you may have.
Join us at one of the following sessions:
Thursday 5th October
7am-10am - Saltwater Creek Reserve, Long Jetty
3pm-6pm - Tuesday St, Tuggerawong
Friday 6th October
