Community projects to come to life in Chain Valley Bay and surrounding areas with Colliery funding

Eight local community groups and not-for-profit organisations have been awarded a combined amount of $43,967.40* in grants through the 2024 Chain Valley Colliery Community Funding Program, to deliver community projects that enhance public infrastructure or services for the Chain Valley Bay, Gwandalan, Mannering Park and Summerland Point communities. 

  1. Chain Valley Bay Progress Association Incorporated ($4,680.00) - Australia Day community celebrations in Joshua Porter Reserve
  2. Lions Club of Gwandalan Incorporated ($1,584.00) - Markets/food van nights 
  3. Lions Club of Gwandalan Incorporated ($2,340.80) - Community noticeboards 
  4. Mannering Park Amateur Sailing Club Incorporated ($2,476.00) - Solar jetty lights for increased safety 
  5. Mannering Park Community Garden Incorporated ($8,326.60) - Mannering Park Community Garden
  6. Mannering Park Tidy Towns Incorporated ($7,400.00) - Ride to Success 
  7. Sailability NSW Incorporated ($13,700.00) - School Sailing at Mannering Park
  8. Uniting, NSW.ACT ($3,460.00) - Teddy’s Bear Picnic

The Chain Valley Colliery Community Funding Program is a joint initiative between Central Coast Council, Delta Coal and our local communities.
