The Central Coast was abuzz with activity during the recent Garage Sale Trail, held over 8-9 and 16-17 November 2024. Hundreds of garage sales sprung up across the region, turning the Central Coast into a vibrant and sustainable shopping destination.

Central Coast Council's participation in this nationwide event saw 220 garage sales registered, resulting in 98,120 kilograms of pre-loved items finding new homes. This impressive achievement ranked the Central Coast third in New South Wales and fourth nationally out of 81 participating Councils.

By choosing second-hand, participants not only saved money but also contributed to a more sustainable future. The Garage Sale Trail aligns with Council's commitment to reducing waste and promoting recycling.

This community-driven event, made possible by Central Coast Council and funded in part by the NSW Environment Protection Authority's Waste Less, Recycle More initiative, encourages Australians to reuse and recycle, reducing the environmental impact of waste.
