What an incredible season the Mariners have had so far. Not only have they finished on top of the table, holding the A-League Premiers title, they have also won the AFC Cup. This a tremendous achievement, not only for the team, but for Australia as a whole. As many of you know, they are the second Australian team to have won an AFC competition. The dedication and hard work of the team’s new coach, Mark Jackson, and all the players, new and returning, have paid off.

However, the season was not without its setbacks. Although the Mariners lost four games in a row at the start of the season and were stranded overseas due to extreme weather conditions, they have kept their heads high, persevered and made the wins even sweeter.

Last weekend, they defeated Sydney FC in a two-legged semi-final, putting the team in the grand final for a second year in a row. The grand final will give the Mariners the opportunity to win the Treble, which has never been achieved in Australia in either the men’s and women’s competition. The community is looking forward to supporting the Central Coast Mariners this weekend as they take on Melbourne Victory.

We are so proud of the achievements our Central Coast Mainers have had in 2023/24. To show our support to the Mariners, Central Coast Council is partnering with the State Government, Industree Group Stadium and the Gosford Erina Business Chamber to host a free community event on Saturday 25 May from 4:00pm at Gosford Leagues Club Park (across from the Industree Group Stadium) – all welcome.

Mark your calendars and join us as we celebrate and thank the Mariners for their hard work this season!
