Community and Culture Committee

Focusing on fostering a strong sense of community and promoting cultural initiatives within the Central Coast community

The purpose of the committee is to provide advice and recommendations to council on all matters involving social, community and cultural matters.

The Central Coast Council Community and Culture Committee consists of 6 (six) Councillors.

  • Councillor Castles (Chair and voting member)
  • Councillor McWaide (Deputy Chair and voting member)
  • Councillor Daniels (voting member)
  • Councillor McNamara (voting member)
  • Councillor Walsh (voting member)
  • Councillor MacGregor (voting member)
  • Councillor Neal (Alternate 1)
  • Councillor Smith (Alternate 2)

The Mayor is also a member of the committee and has voting rights. 

The committee will meet bi-monthly on the second Tuesday at 5:00pm.

The committee meetings will be held in one of the function rooms on level 2 of the Council Administration Building, 2 Hely Street Wyong. Information about upcoming committee meetings is further detailed below. 

The committee meetings will be livestreamed. Members of the public can view the livestream of the meetings by visiting the Central Coast Council Live Stream on YouTube.

Members of the public are also invited to attend as observers. The Committee may close to the public to consider confidential items only as defined under the adopted Code of Meeting Practice and the Local Government Act 1993.
