Build your career with Central Coast Council’s Apprentice and Trainee Program

We offer nationally recognised Apprenticeships and Traineeships for motivated people who have an interest in gaining hands on work experience and technical training in our varying trades.

We offer Apprenticeships and Traineeship opportunities in a variety of study areas including electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, childcare, horticulture, civil construction, customer service, warehousing, water treatment, surveying, metal fabrication, boiler making, and fitting.

Apprentices and trainees receive on-the-job expert mentoring by qualified supervisors and teams. They are given time to attend study and have access to other great benefits of working at Council, such as the rewards and recognition program, wellbeing leave, access to our Employee Assistance Program, and Fitness Passport.

How to apply

Apprenticeships and traineeships are advertised in local media and on our Current Vacancies page. Please apply the same way you would for any job and respond to the requirements outlined in the advertisement.
