We have drafted an update to the Plan of Management for Council Community Land (POM) to include newly acquired, identified or re-classified land lots, and the re-categorisation of some lots already in the plan which is on public exhibition for your feedback.

A POM categorises community land based on its characteristics and outlines how we will use and manage the land.

Council owns around 2500 lots of community land which includes a wide variety of properties ranging from small recreation reserves to iconic parks, beaches, natural areas and community facilities such as sportsgrounds.

This proposed POM Update will focus on amending the Land Schedule by categorising 158 newly acquired land or reclassified land lots, and in response to community feedback is proposing to recategorise 114 land lots already included in the POM.

How to participate

1.    Attend a public hearing (held 14, 18 and 21 November)
2.    Read the Draft POM Update Land Schedule and view the associated mapping, and make a submission online during the public exhibition between 24 September and 25 November.
